The Intouchables

The Intouchables

I love the opening scene with the two men in the sports car because it gets you right into the middle of the story. Then viewers are taken back to how the two men were brought together. It’s a clever technique often used by screenplay writers to catch viewers’ interest because after all, when it comes to film, if you don’t catch their interest in the first few minutes, you’ve probably lost your audience.

This is a great French film about Driss (Omar Sy)an ex-con who gets a job caring for Philippe (Francois Cluzet), a quadraplegic aristocrat. Humor, drama and heart-touching scenes throughout this film make it a very enjoyable and engaging film to watch. It’s a great story about how two very different people can become friends and affect each other in positive ways. Plus it’s also based on a true story. If you want to read the book it’s titled You Changed My Life and it’s by Abdel Sellou.
